Motions in sequence
All,
I am a new user to Director 3D. I am trying to create an interactive model
in a GUI where the user has to demonstrate an assembly/disassembly process
by clicking on parts of a piece of equipment in a certain order and
subsequently making them move. This is akin to, say, a Shockwave
presentation that displays the steps involved in changing a tire. After
being shown the steps, the user must perform the steps in sequence,
receiving positive feedback if the user clicks, for example, the parking
brake first (which would maybe animate the parking brake). If the user
attempts to click the tire before the preceding steps are performed (or any
other step out of sequence) they would recieve a negative feedback (a razz
sound/flashing red background). Being new, I have tons of questions which
have not been answered by the numerous books I have bought on the subject.
1. How do I prevent a part from being clicked, resulting in animation play
out of sequence?
2. How can I get the model/sprite/2d sprite to return positive/negative
feedback to the user as steps are performed?
3. Are there tutorials already out there for this question?
Thanks,
