    Default Movie Clip Question

When making a movie clip how do you turn it into a "plus sign within a circle?"
It looks like the registration point symbol. When I right-click on it, I can
edit the movie clip. It can only be highlighted in the timeline.

    Default Re: Movie Clip Question

By plus sign within a circle I think you are talking about the registration
mark (the plus sign) and the center/pivot (the circle). The registration mark
is symbol based on the symbol in the library. The pivot is instance based.
each instance can have a different center. This is used for transformations and
for tweening. This has NO bearing on any actionScript.

TO have them align by default, you need to click on the center alignment when
creating the new symbol. Starting in Flash MX 2004, the pivot always is placed
at the center, and only the registration mark is placed at the position
specified in the new symbol dialog box.

    hopes this helps
