moviemarkers not available
Hello everyone out there,
Here's my problem:
I exported a movie as a quick time from Final Cut Pro 4 (on OS-X) to Director
8 (on OS-9.5). The movie plays OK, no problems at that part. But: for some
reason the chapter-markers that I placed in the timeline of moviesequence in
Final Cut do not appear in my Director movie. Who can help me out?
Monique.

Re: moviemarkers not available
If the markers existed they would be embedded cue points, you can look
for them is the video member properties List view, cue point names and
cue point times.
If indeed they are not geting through you may have to resort to hard
coding movie times in a series of 'wait' score scripts.

Re: moviemarkers not available
Thanks, I'm afraid I'll have to go for the second option because the markers
are not there.
I read something about simulated cue points. Unfortionally I can't find
whether they are usefull in my case and how to create them. Any ideas??

Re: moviemarkers not available
J.B. or someone else:
I'm not getting anywhere. My problem is that while the video keeps on playing,
additional pictures and short texts have to appear on another screen in the
movie. So I need to put cue points or markers or ..... in the video that allow
me to activate other sprites while the video plays. A "wait" script seems no
solution (or am I wrong???). I tried to work with the MOVIETIME but although I
can determine the movietime of a certain position in the video, I can't get
Director to execute a command on that position. The mesage-window accepts the
lingo as correct but nothing happens while playing.
