Default Moving From Access to MS SQL Server

I am wanting to move my databases from access to sql and was hoping to get some
suggestions or advice before I start.

    1. Is the program similar to access when creating and modifying DB's?
    2. Is there any challenges converting access DB's to SQL?
    3. When installing the MS SQL developer edition program is there anything
special I have to do, to make it work with the coldfusion test server?

If there is anything else I should know, I would appreciate any input. Or if
any of you know of any good resources on this subject I would also aprreciate
    that.
