mozilla 1.2.1Ab - SCO

I am having more and more trouble lately using Netscape 4.7 on SCO 5.0.6. I used to be able to visit http://www.sco.com/ however now it crashes the netscape browser. It is crashing more and more at other sites also now. does anyone know if SCO has dropped compatibility for use of SCO-UNIX with netscape at their website and is only offering their web site for microsoft windows netscape or IE browser now ? So, in attempt to get to their site, I loaded the mozilla 1.2.1Ab off the 5.0.7 CD-rom and attempted to run it. I get an error that ...

when I look, I don't have this file "libgnuintl.so.4"

does anyone know what package I need to install to get this ?

Thankyou, peri

You are correct that one can no longer read parts of the SCO web
site with UNIX Netscape 4.x browsers. But this is not just an
issue with the SCO web site, there are many many web sites nowadays
that can't be read with Netscape 4.x. So you are correct in
concluding that you need to move to Mozilla.

I believe this is in package GWXLIBS (which was previously
called supplement OSS631C).

If that doesn't fix it, you could also look for a version of Mozilla
that was ported to OSR5 by a gentleman in Poland last year; use
Google Groups search to find a thread in late 2002 called "Two
Browsers" in this newsgroup. I've been running Mozilla 1.1 from
this fellow on OSR5.0.5 since then and enjoying it much more than
Netscape 4.7 (other than the fact that it's several times slower
to load).

Yes it required "both" oss646A + oss631B to get Mozilla from the 5.0.7
CD to run on 5.0.6

The version 1.2.1 is extremely slow compared to Netscape.
However, you can get to SCO website after installing it.

I've been told that version 1.4 is alot faster, but still
haven't found a more current one.

It is very sad that SCO didn't ship the 5.0.7 with a much
new version, or failing that, have one ready for us to download.
It really makes me want to get going with linux all the more.

There also seems to be zero plugins for it either to download.
