MPEG Advance Extra Playback problem
I am importing MPEG2 video files into a director file with the stage size set
to 1024x768, the video is 720x540 and is 118Mb in file size. When I am
importing the file. I am using a top spec laptop.
Pentium 4 2.3ghz
768mb RAM
80Gb Hard Drive
GeForce Go5600 64Mb Graphics Card
with Quicktime Pro installed. When i play the file in Quicktime its ok, but as
soon as I try to import the file using mpeg advance, my whole system starts
slowing down and becomes unworkable. I am on a very tight schedule so please
help.
I have tried the same file on my Mac using the mpeg advance xtra and it works
fine, so there seems to be an issue between windows,mx2004 & mpeg advance 1.5

Re: MPEG Advance Extra Playback problem
Their previous (directMedia) xtra had a cpu load adjustment for video
members, allowing a reduction of cpu usage at the potential cost of
video performance.

Re: MPEG Advance Extra Playback problem
You would be better served talking with Tabuleiro's tech support
people...they are very good. MPEG 2 video files require a third party
program, perhaps there is a conflict between the MPEG 2 decoder on your
Windows system and MPEG Advance...but again, Tabuleiro would have the best
information on this or other possible issues.
