Default MS ACCESS; ASP ;NTFS file system

I have developed a simple ASP application that accepts
information from a user, updates an ACCESS 2000 table and
displays the information. I am running Win XP with an
NTFS file system. I am only able to read the data table
and not update it when the database is accessed from my
hard drive. However when I copied the database to my
A:drive which uses the FAT file format, the application
works perfectly. I am looking for a way to make the
application run on my c: drive. What might be the
problem and what might be the solution? Thanks...

Store the MDB file in a folder that IUSR has access to; e.g. store it
somewhere in the web hierarchy rather than right in C:\

    Hi,

I got this problem too. Besides putting the website there,
can we got other methods to overcome this problem?

In fact, I am putting my files in D:\ and I want to keep
it. Also, do you know how to change the permission of the
folder in WindowXP such that IUSR_hostname got write
    permission on that folder?

    Best,
    Leo

Right click the folder, select properties and permissions. Add the
    IUSR_machine name account.

If you haven't turned off simple file sharing, then I think you will be
missing the permissions tab. Open a folder then select tools->Folder
options from the menu, on the view tab, scroll down to the very last item
    and remove the checkmark.
