    Hi,

a WP doent or a simple spreadsheet. So, I went to Amazon, I found
three books that look pretty good, but they don't seem to have been
reviewed much, so I'm l;ooking for opinions. The books are:

Microsoft Office v. X for Mac Inside Out
    by Tom Negrino et. al.

Microsoft Office v.X for Mac OS X: Visual QuickStart Guide
by Dan Henderson (Author), Steve Schwartz (Author )

I've leafed through all three at a bookstore. The QuickStart guide is
typical of the series - good to learn how to do simple tasks and
succicnt, but harder to become a Office "guru" from it.

The other 2 are something to sit down and read through to learn the
"Office Way". What none of them do for me is explain how to deal with
the bugs or deficiencies I run into in Office, or exceed the built-in
help for the basic tasks I need to do, so I didn't buy any of them.

I very much like the Missing Manual books. They are very good for
learning basic to intermediate functions of the various programs.

I know Tom and his family, so I'd recommend his book so he can get the
    royalty payment. ;-)
