MSDE/SP3 MemoryLeakage - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

I very much doubt it is a memory leak. Search this group for many similar queries, essentially SQL server will take almost all available memory and only release it if other processes need it. But this should not cause a problem. Why do you have to restart? Hallo Mike,

    Thanks for your reply.
I have to restart because the PC is part of a production process and I
can't risk a crash if the used memory becomes more then the installed RAM
    and
the PC is getting slower and slower.

What you wrote would mean, that all the information of the taskmanager would
be useless, if sqlserver is installed. I can't believe that.
My information till now is that SQL-Server has its own memory-management,
which allocates as much memory as needed and frees only that memory
automatically, which is not needed over a longer time. Unfortunately I can't
find further information on this theme.

The user-db is only about 5 MB of size. The structure is very simple (29
    tables, 10 views, 1 sp).
Since the work of both of the user programs is always the same (most of it
cyclic), there should be a stable state after some time.

I'm looking for other other threads in this and other groups but it is very
hard for me to find something. Do you have some hints for me ?
