I am also trying deal with the "auto update" problem with Shockwave Player 10.
We need to distribute the Shockwave Player 10 to all our users at various
locations. The users have restricted rights therefore are not able to do
"updates" automatically. Any updates to the shockwave player have to be
scripted by us first with Wise or Installshield then distributed via Novadigm
Radia. We would like to know how we can "turn off" the automatic update that
our users get. Have you have recieved any further technical informantion in
this regard?

To extract the Merge Modules I had to open the MSI with Wise and save the
project out with the files being saved externally. I was then able to add in
the reg chages to disable autoupdate and then recompile.
