MT NewsWatcher is annoying me... - Mac Applications & Software

Hi, Been trying to use MT Newswatcher for a while now. For some reason my windows always expand behind the dock. I have to manually resize them each time I open MT-NW. Even if I "lock" them, the next time I launch MT-NW it's back to square one. Maybe I just missed a setting somewhere. Is there a way to keep the windows from expanding behind the dock? The "zoom" feature in the windows only works to shorten the window once I have locked it. As I said, after shutting down the program and restarting I am back to defaults. ...

Default MT NewsWatcher is annoying me...

    Hi,

Been trying to use MT Newswatcher for a while now. For some reason my
windows always expand behind the dock. I have to manually resize them
each time I open MT-NW. Even if I "lock" them, the next time I launch
MT-NW it's back to square one.

Maybe I just missed a setting somewhere. Is there a way to keep the
windows from expanding behind the dock? The "zoom" feature in the
windows only works to shorten the window once I have locked it. As I
said, after shutting down the program and restarting I am back to
    defaults.

    Thanks,

When you move the windows to the location you want them, and then save
the settings (with items read and the like) in the various lists at the
end of your session that should do it. It does for me.

I noted you are using an older version of MT-NW. Upgrade to 3.3 and
    this disappearing-behind-the-dock problem disappears :)

I've been using 3.3 for months (maybe even a year), without a hint of a
    problem.

    If it's pre-release, it's pre-release in name only.

When its creator decides it's a release version, he'll say so. The copy
I checked out a few weeks ago is 3.3b1, which is beta.

I believe this question has come up before, but I missed the answer:

Is there a way to turn off the dock bouncing and dialogs that make all
tasks in action freeze with regard to downloading? I'm tired of having
work interrupted by notices that this message didn't contain a binary or
that one might be prematurely truncated, but I can't find any way to
    just make those stop.

Perhaps, but nothing has, so I see no problem.

Except that Simon appears to have taken a lengthy break from "finishing"
3.3, which is labeled 3.3b1 and has been working pretty well for me for
a *very* long time. It does fix numerous problems from 3.2, though it
still has some quirks of its own. But then, what program doesn't?
