Default Multiple paths to automatic handles?

    Hi

I have traced a bitmap with Freehand MX's trace-tool. I'd like to set the the
point types on all of the points to corner and handles on all of the paths to
automatic. The problem: I can only edit the attributes of one path at a time
and there are hundreds of paths! If I select all of the points in multiple
paths all at the same time, the point attributes dissapear from the Properties
rollout. It only reads: "456 objects"

So basically I want to change the curving paths to straight lines between
points. Can the paths be joined to form one path that can de edited nomally? Or
is there a way to affect all of the points at the same time

    Can you help me

Default Re: Multiple paths to automatic handles?

    Jan,
I see no way to edit the points on multiple paths, even if they are joined
    into a composite path.

What are you trying to accomplish? If it's to get an angular look to a trace
you might get the desire effect with the Roughen Xtra.

    1. Select all of your paths.
    2. Double-click on the Roughen Xtra and set it to 1/Rough.
    3. Zoom in to high magnification and make the tiniest drag possible with
    Roughen Xtra tool.

This will produce all corner points with retracted handles, minimally
displaced from the original paths. It will also add points to long arcs
which you may wish to manually delete.
