MX 2004: Crashy Projector in OSX only -- odd
I am authoring in MX 2004 on OSX and have a main movie along with stub
projectors. the main movie is not all that complex... a little quicktime and
such. Following the directions from Macromedia:
[L=http://www.macromedia.com/support/director/ts/documents/d8_fast-start_stub_pr
oj.htm]http://www.macromedia.com/support/director/ts/documents/d8_fast-start_stu
b_proj.htm[/L]
I am creating projectors for OSX, OS9, and Windows in both Shockwave and
Standard formats (Publish Settings > Projector > Player Type: [Standard] or
[Shockwave])... with all Xtras external (heck, in the Xtras folder... I've
placed pretty much every Xtra there in my debugging process)..
So, I have the following stub projectors:
myProjector_Standard.osx
myProjector_Standard.classic
myProjector_Standard.exe
myProjector_Shockwave.osx
myProjector_Shockwave.classic
myProjector_Shockwave.exe
Everything works dandy... except for the myProjector_Standard.osx ... it
crashes everytime as if it is missing an Xtra:
"The application "myProjector_Standard.osx" could not be launched because of a
shared library error: ""<Projector Resources><ProjLib><><>"
What gives? Everything else is playing fine!
Thanks... just let me hit my head against the wall a coupe more times.. maybe
that will help.

Do you have your xtras separated? For example, a folder called Xtras, then
inside that two folders; OS9Xtras and OSXxtras.

Re: MX 2004: Crashy Projector in OSX only -- odd
Thanks Doug...
the Xtras were already segregated somewhat into foldes by OS (Classic MacOS,
Windows, then folders for OSX: Core, Media Elements, Scripting)... I tried a
more formal segregation (Folders: OS9 Xtras, OSX Xtras, Windows), but no dice.
back to debugging...
