    Default MX 2004 GotoAndPlay Wierdness

I noticed that something has changed in the new MX 2004 version.

Lets say I have a 2 frame movie. I want to make a loop so I make an action
    on frame 2 "gotoandplay(1)".

In previous versions, whatever was on frame 2 (say on the layer below the
actions layer) would play. However, now, what is on frame 2 will be ignored.
Only frame 1 shows up in the final movie.
The only way to make it loop properly and play both frame 1 and 2 in the
final movie is to place the "gotoandplay(1)" action on a blank frame on
    frame 3.

Doesn't this seem crazy?! It's sure a pain in the arse I tell you,
especially after being used to the old method!

That has ALWAYS been the case. You are mistaken

The "OLD" method you described never worked. The crazy new method is what
    you ALWAYS had to do.

    Sounds like you're a bit confused !!!
