Re: MX Collection 3
I have the MX Kollection for asp and it is brilliant , yes it may take time
to unload but that is down to Macromedias extension manager, it can take up
to 20-30 odd minutes to remove the Kolection at times, taking that into
account other third party extensions of that size I have will also take
lenghtly periods to unistall ,as for you receiving errors it may be down to
many things. drop there support a line to see what can fix it. it sounds
like a user problem to me thought.

I hate to ask the obvious, but you did upload your include files, didn't you?!
I've had quite a few problems with MX3 too, especially after I first upgraded.
I did a complete re-install and it was much better afterwards :)
Once you've started getting used to the unbelievable amount of code behind it,
it becomes much easier to identify & fix the errors that do occur (and I agree,
they occur more often than Interakt like to say!). Still, it's an incredibly
useful suite and I reckon it's worth wearing out a few brain cells while coming
to terms with it :P

What a nightmare!!! They are simply nothing less than *hores trying to make a
buck. The program takes a simple server-side includes and makes an
earth-shattering event out of it. The unnecessary and 10-fold redundant
complexity of the program is simply to insure that once you are using it, you
will have no recourse BUT to use it. Avoid at all costs; for me, it turned out
to actually be a simpler process to just sit down with the PHP and MySQL
manuals and learn them--YES! It is easier to learn PHP and MySQL than it is to
debug the collection of redundancies known as the MX collection.
Sincerely,
Sorry that I ever encountered the MX nightmare:disgust;

Re: MX Collection 3
That was a cheap shot. The interAKT extensions are impressive but may have
overeached. They do have substantial problems that can take a long time to
track down to get fixed. Its working out the miriad of small fixes that is
frustrating. Once they're worked out and understood then building what is
needed is a lot easier. Its getting to that point that is difficult. I've built
up a library of work around notes for "how to" when using interAKT extensions.
At one point they said I had a problem with my php.ini so I sent it to them
and heard nothing. They also apparently don't like my hosting company's install
of PHP either....sorry, I just don't buy the "it must be you" arguement.
