MX Slow on MAC
We just bought a dual processor G5 Mac and when we run our Director MX
projector files or even play a project within Director the transistions run
real slow. Everything else seems to run fine? We run the project on our G3
and it runs just fine? Any suggestions?

Hi Broose,
What is the power of the CPU(s) in the G5 versus the CPU in the G3?
How about video card and also RAM - are they equal?
If you create a simple file with transitions does it exhibit the same
problems on the G5 and not on the G3?
I haven't heard of any overall problems like this so any more details
you can provide will help in finding the cause of the problem.

Re: MX Slow on MAC
Yea I created a simple two picture project with one transistion and it did
the same thing? The G5 is alot more powerful machine than the G3 we have.
The G5 is a dual processor?

Re: MX Slow on MAC
It might depend on the OS. I found that transitions work much slower with Panther than with Jaguar.
Annoyingly slow, to be precise...

Re: MX Slow on MAC
There was an issue with Transitions on Mac with DirMX. These issues were resolved in DirMX2004.
