Default MXa cant open MX-files correctly (Missing Fonts)

I installed FreeHand MXa (11.0.1) yesterday.

(It seems to work right, allthough i cant find any changes!)
When i try to open a file i created with MX i get the Error "Fonts... not installed".
But the Fonts are installed (active in Suitcase). And when i open iwith the old MX everything is OK.

    What shall i do?
    Delete MXa?

    Anyone a better idea?

Default Re: MXa cant open MX-files correctly (Missing Fonts)

    I got the same here...
I had a lot of art works in FH10 and after upgrade to FHMXa I can't
to change or to use old advertising!
I have PIV 2.5GHz, 1Gb RAM, Win XP pro SP1.
In old FH10 I can see all fonts and change them, but in FH11.0.1
shows message " ... missing fonts..." So, I've called to MM technical
    support
( and have paid for the long distance call) and I got NOTHING, except
common questions about what type of OS, how it shows up, etc.
Tech rep never came back again and left me with my problems -:(((
BUT in few days I got by the email survey about
" how good is MM tech support service..." No words...

Guys from MM which are usually posted answers
in this forum answers never touch the subject...
So they force me to solve the problem myself.

The problem is - FHMXa doesn't support
non-Unicode language behaviour of the application.
Is the MM in globalization at all?

Solution is - go to admin account and verify your
language in use ( which, I guess, is different from English).
On the Advanced tab, under Language for non-Unicode programs,
click the language version of non-Unicode programs that will be used.
Set English and you'd see all fonts in drop down menu...
Oh, yes, you've to reboot system -:)

By the way, I made in FH MXa ads in Polish, Russian languages and
native fonts doesn't work properly. I made the same trick -
switch your language in Advanced tab folder (under admin),
create art, save it as bitmap and go back to English.
And after all those moves you'd send a bill with your time and hour rate
to MM to pay for additional time - changing languages and rebooting system
    :-)

I hope it will help you.

    Regards,
    Alex.

    Thnx for your reply, Alex!

My System ist Mac G4 1Ghz with MacOSX (10.2).
And you are right: Language ist GERMAN!
I tried to change the system-language to ENGLISH, but it didn't solve the problem (still missing fonts!).
But even if it worked. Why should i work with another language. Just for MXa?

I just deleted MXa from my Harddisk.

If somebody (or Macromedia?) has another solution, please let me hear it.

    Andreas
