My font disappears when I create a hyperlink, why?!! - Macromedia Contribute General Discussion

Can someone please help? I am updating my companies website and am using a lot of hyperlinks to do so. Once I create the hyperlink, the font that i'm hyperlinking simply disappears (it actually turns it to a white colour that is not visible). When I try to change the font colour to blue (a typical hyperlink colour) or any other colour for that matter, it won't allow me to do it with more than a single character at a time. Once I create the hyperlink, the font that i'm hyperlinking simply disappears
(it actually turns it to a white colour that is not visible).

When I try to change the font colour to blue (a typical hyperlink colour) or
any other colour for that matter, it won't allow me to do it with more than a
single character at a time. In order to turn the font the correct blue colour,
I have to do it one letter and one space at a time.

    Why is this?!?!

    Hi,
Can you please check the Link color in the Page Properties dialog under Links category?
If you linked any CSS, please check what is the color provided for that class.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

As you requested, here is the information:

All link colours (except for "active links, which are grey) are white. Also,
the underline is set for "Hide underline on rollover."

I figured that once I had realized the links were set to white, I would change
them to blue (which is what I want). Unfortunately, doing this changes ALL
links on every page (including the homepage) to blue, which is not what i'm
after (homepage links do actually need to be white as they have a green
    background).

Also, I do not know what CSS means, how to use it, or how to answer that
    question?

I hope that makes sense! Any help would be great.
