For over a year, I have been successfully submitting ads to a local newspaper by designing the ad in Illustrator 10 for OS X.2 and exporting to PDF or EPS. The newspaper has been running the ads without any problems, using Acrobat 5 in OS 9 (I think) to convert them as needed into files for publication.

Last month, the newspaper's production dept. upgraded to a Mac G5 running Panther 10.3 and Acrobat 6. Now they tell me that they cannot open my Illustrator PDF files. Oddly enough, they can't even read the files when I send them as EPS. They insist they aren't having this problem with other advertisers. (The only change I've made to start using Extensis Font Reserve to manage my fonts, but the ads always have all fonts converted to outlines before I submit them... so that shouldn't make a difference.)

Is this an Illustrator problem, an Acrobat problem, or something else? Thanks.
