Default My pics appear as broken links in DW...

When I change my image source from one on my local machine to one on my server,
I can no longer see the image within the DW workspace. It appears as a gray
box with a broken link, but looks fine when I F12. It's probably a simple
setting somewhere. Can someone please help? Thanks!

DW can only display images that are within your local site. Sorry.

You and your friend are both mistaken. DW cannot display images in design
view when those images are not in the local site.
