My right Alt key cannot work in console!! - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

When I switchs to console mode, my right alt key cannot work. But it works normally in X window. My keyboard is Logitech MS keyboard. Can anyone tell how setup my linux well?...

    Default My right Alt key cannot work in console!!

    When I switchs to console mode, my right alt key cannot work. But
    it works normally in X window.
    My keyboard is Logitech MS keyboard.
    Can anyone tell how setup my linux well?

    The leftAlt key is usually the Meta key, which is not the same as Alt.

    Normally leftAlt-whatever can be accomplished with Esc + whatever too.

    Yeh, it's a convention that can be annoying.

    I has a left-alt key. It works well, when the right-alt key is disfunction.

    Solution (RH-7.3): edit

    /usr/lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty/us.kmap.gz

    changing line
    include "linux-with-alt-and-altgr"
    to
    include "linux-with-two-alt-keys"

    which can be tested immediately by executing

    loadkeys -s (to clear settings)
    loadkeys us (to load the us.kmap above)
