My text is printing as CMYK instead of K
Hi.
I appreciate your help.
I have a 12 page doument created in ID 3.02. It contains black and a pantone color. When I print to PDF the black text, instead of being 100% K, has CMY values as well. I can't figure out how to correct this. When I select the text in ID the color palette shows is as being 100% K.
My pdf print color output setting is:
Composite CMYK
Thank you all in advance.

Don't print to PDF... export to PDF.
Other than that you probably have the color-management pane of the print dialog set to some destination profile (as opposed to "document CMYK") and a conversion is taking place.
