MySQL 4.1 connection
Using CFMX 7 on Win XP Home, and have installed latest version of MySQL
4.1.10
I can not seem to make a connection to my database (ows - used in
Forta's CFMX WACK). It keeps throwing an error as follows:
Connection verification failed for data source: ows
java.sql.SQLException: Communication failure during handshake. Is there
a server running on 127.0.0.1:3306?
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: Communication failure
during handshake. Is there a server running on 127.0.0.1:3306?
The only password I have is the root one, none specifically for the
actual database itself.
Any ideas?

also, have just downloaded SQLYog and can connect to my db through that
interface, using the same root login and password - no problems.
Did find a thread here - http://tinyurl.com/5q9q9 which may be what I am
experiencing - but not overly sure about how to fix it. Very new to this..
cheers again

seeing. Do a quick search in either this forum or the General
Discussion forum and you'll find some other threads related to this
where the solution is outlined.
