mysql and multiprocessor machines - MySQL

Hello. I am trying to run mysql with SusE 10.0 in a 4xCpu machine. I see that mysql only uses 1 of them. Is it possible in any way to use all the cpus in this machine with mysql?...

    Do you know if mysqld needs to be compiled with any special options (ex. in
    the ./configure line) in order to take advantage of this option?
