    Default mySQL compound query

    Hi,

    I hope someone can help me.

    I have some (example) tables as follows:

    events (event_id, event_name, channel_id )
    streams (stream_id, channel_id, stream_url)
    channels (channel_id, channel name)

    I want to create a query to display the following results:

    event_name, channel_id,
    and then for each row display all of the 'stream_url' values where
    channels.channel_id = streams.channel_id

    Is this possible?

    Yes, it's an elementary query, using a JOIN. It doesn't give the output
    in exactly the sequence you describe, but the information is all there.
    Then in your application, you should sort out the parts of each row of
    the result set that you need.

    SELECT e.event_name, c.channel_id, s.*
    FROM events AS e
    JOIN channels AS c USING (channel_id)
    JOIN streams AS s USING (stream_id)
