    You'd have to loop through the result set:

    $sql="select * from einheit";
    $result=mysql_query($sql);
    echo "<select name=\"select\">\n";
    while($zeile = mysql_fetch_array($result)){
    ?>
    <option value="<?php echo $zeile['id']; ?>"><?php echo $zeile['name'];
    ?></option>
    <?php
    }
    ?>
    </select>
