Mysteriously deleted contents of an entire layer
So this has happened to me twice now. I have a large (6x5 11x17 pages) file with 4 layers in it. I was resizing a text box, and mysteriously the ENTIRE CONTENTS of the layer that had the text box in it was deleted. Undo and redo through all the steps in history did nothing to recover the layer. Hours of work lost. Ok, well, one hour. But damn annoying.
I tried printing to PDF, saving copies, flattening, to no avail. Argh. Any ideas?

Re: Mysteriously deleted contents of an entire layer
One more clue: opening various saved versions gives me this error:
Can't open the illustration. The illustration contains an illegal operand.
Offending operator: ','
Context:
0 A
0 Xw
/A|11Text:
0 /FreeUndo ,
0 /FrameIndex ,
-1 /StoryIndex,
....but then the file opens anyway, just without any of the objects in the important layer.

Re: Mysteriously deleted contents of an entire layer
Did you hide the contents of the layer, by any chance?
