n00b importing question - Macromedia Director 3D

First off, while I'm new to shockwave 3d, I've been progging a while, so I just need a little spring as I'm off to bed and would like to pick up from my "stuck" point tomorrow :) I'm just making a simple little board game to get my feet wet. I've managed to make the board model and import just fine. I've also made 2 piece models (one of each color) and they are in my cast list as well. I placed my board on to the stage and with a little lingo, I can make it move around, rotate, ...

    Default n00b importing question

First off, while I'm new to shockwave 3d, I've been progging a while, so I just need a little spring as I'm off to bed and would like to pick up from my "stuck" point tomorrow :)

I'm just making a simple little board game to get my feet wet. I've managed to make the board model and import just fine. I've also made 2 piece models (one of each color) and they are in my cast list as well.

I placed my board on to the stage and with a little lingo, I can make it move around, rotate, move the camera, etc. My cast names are "redchip" "bluechip" and "board" Now then, here are my 2 n00b Qs:

    1) How do I place a redchip or blue chip into the sprite that has the board (and then reference it to manipulate it)?

    2) As a follow up, what do I need to do in order to place (and use) multiple chips?

So that's it. I'm sure its quite easy. If someone would be kind enough to answer those 2 (really 1 and a half I guess) I'd appreciate it and I can take over from there.

    Danke!

alright, it looks like you don't understand shockwave 3D yet but thats okay. You need to create new models in the cast member of the visible sprite

member("gameBoard").clonemodelfromcastmember("new blue chip", "old model name", member("BLue Chip")

then you can move it about

    member("gameBoard").model("new blue chip").translate(10,51,12, #self)
