Need help matching a HATCH with "scribble" effect in CS
Hello. I'm in need of a way to match a specific type of hatch mark and I'm not sure if the "scribble" effect that has replaced "pen and ink" can do it. Here is a sample of what I need to do:
<http://clubs.asua.arizona.edu/~clubmap/images/hatch.jpg>
If anybody can help me out I'd appreciate it. I'm running CS and I brought over the old 'pen and ink' plugin folder from my old Illustrator 10 folder so that it shows up in CS, but I can't change any of the presets - so if anybody is runnng Illustrator 10 and can save a preset and send it to me that would work too. Thanks.

Re: Need help matching a HATCH with "scribble" effect in CS
1) Draw a square. Stroke and Fill of none.
2) Draw a vertical line the same height as the square.
3) Select both. Align Palette: Center them vertically and horizontally.
4) Drag to the Swatches Palette.
5) Draw a shape. Apply the Swatch.
6) DoubleClick the Rotate Tool. In the dialog, enter a rotation value. Turn on the Pattern checkbox, turn off the Object checkbox. Turn on Preview and play with the angle.

Re: Need help matching a HATCH with "scribble" effect in CS
That works, but I'm looking for something a little quicker for working on big projects. I have Illustrator 10 at home so I'm just going to try and copy over my old presets to my work computer.
thanks for helping out.

You can copy the pen and ink filter from AI 10 to CS, that works just fine
