    Hey thanks Paul - Inside of the adapter/lens, there is a TX imprinted on
    both sides. Looks like we solved the problem!

    It is the TX mount, an early competitor to the Tamron Adaptall system.
    Tamron persisted with their Adaptall II range but Vivitar dropped the idea.

    I had a 200 f3.5 and a 35mm with TX mounts. Nikon F and M42. Quite versatile
    and can be fun. Still have the 35mm around here somewhere.
