Default Need Help w/ Stone Texture

    I really don't have much
skill with Photoshop. I tried following a web tutorial to make a stone pattern
and I came up with this.

    I followed this Tutorial.

    <http://www.sjci.com/VisualBasic/Pho...e/old_stone.htm>

I want the texture to look as good as it does on the one shown in the tutorial,
but I need a shape similar to mine. I need mine to be a menu for a web site I am
    working on.

Does anyone know of a different method to make realistic looking stone
backgrounds, or do you know where I can get some that are ready made? Any
information you can give will be appreciated, even if it is just tips on how to
fix up my own work or how to redo it.

Also, do you know how to edit the text so it looks like it was chiseled in, like
    in the above example?

There are methods described in Photoshop 7 down and dirty tricks; about $28.00 at amazon. Great book!

That looks like it should work. Thank you for the link, I will give it a try later today.

As far as the html goes, It said you may use most html tags to enhance your image, I assumed that ment you could display photos. Sorry about that.

We just released a plug-in set for creating realistic procedural textures, such stone, marble, water, grass, all sorts of stuff really. It's called Texture Anarchy...

Take a look at www.digitalanarchy.com, if you're interested.

I'm not sure why it posted twice. That was unintentional, and it's odd that there was such a time delay between the duplicate post. If I did cause it then I apologize for the second post.

We don't spam people. It was relevent to what the post was about. It's one particular solution which may have solved his problem.

It's interesting what passes for spam on different lists. We've been doing After Effects plugins for years and as long as your post is relevent to questions being asked, I've never had anyone, on any list, have a problem with our suggesting a product that offers up a solution.

    Sorry if it offended anyone...

    cheers,
