Sorry it's taken me so long. I tried to no avail. I get absolutely no
video. Not even the open boot stuff at the beginning.

    remove sun-keyboard

Connect a terminal, or pc of some kind, to the serial A of the system,
set it to 9600,8,n,1 and power up, anything?

    You need a null-modem cable.

If it doesnt do anything and the power is working...

remove ALL sbus and upa cards.
    unplug disks.

    try again... anything?

if not, remove all memorybanks except one

    try again... anything?

shift in another memorybank (if you have several)

    try again... anything?

If you still dont see anything, try connecting your sun-keyboard
and hold down Stop-L during power-up, this should reset you OBP to
    factory default values.

    Still doesnt work?

Well, it seems you have a dead CPU then.

If you do get the prompt, then set it to full diagnostics
    i.e.

    setenv diag-level max
    setenv diag-switch? true
    setenv auto-boot? false

    power-cycle

    Check for errors

    show-post-results

    anything wrong?

if no, start putting things in and running the test with more and more
extras to see if a failure occurs.

All of this properly ESD protected ofcourse.

Then again, I might have misunderstood your message, maybe the system is
working perfectly, just not showing any video?

This should be Stop-N, sorry :-)

Stop-F forces output/input to console and Stop-D forces diagnostics mode

Dont know where I got that L from :-)
