Re: Need "put all", "check-in-all", "get all"functionality
Danilo, I never knew about 'right click on the Files panel, go to Select >
Checked Out Files'. EXTREMELY useful! Thanks!!! You asked, 'Do you want to
only check in the opened files or check in all the checked out files?' This
would also be very useful, although I could get by with the Files panel option
you just told me about. I would certainly buy this functionality for a modest
sum. I frequently have a large number of files open that I want to check in at
once. On a large site, searching the entire site for checked-out files,
although very useful, would take time. Two more things that would be handy:
1) In some situations, with a check-out/in site, DW asks you whether you want
to 'open' or or 'view' a file (or cancel). But for right-clicking on a file in
the Files panel, there is no 'view' option. I can't see it without opening it.
It would be very useful to be able to right-click a file and select 'view'.
2) When I 'get' or 'put' or 'check out' or 'check in' set of directories, the
action is applied to ALL the files in the directories, unless I select/deselect
on a file-by-file basis. But most of the time, I only want files of a certain
type - .cfm, and maybe .asp, .htm and .html. I DON'T want to drag along all
the PDF and image files for the ride! It would be very useful, therefore, to
be able to select directories in the Files panel and specify that an action
will only be applied to certain file types. Thanks!

There may be a couple of extensions things that could help you with this, but don't exactly fit the bill, but are sorta close:> 2) When I 'get' or 'put' or 'check out' or 'check in' set of directories, the

Put By Extension:
http://www.communitymx.com/abstract.cfm?cid=821EA
This extension allows you to specify the file extesnion of the files to put. So you can say put all .asp and .js files. It is close to what you're looking for, but only works site wide, not for specified folders.
Find a File:
http://www.communitymx.com/abstract.cfm?cid=A5FAC4DFB8F522F3
Allows you to search for file names within your site that match the searched for file name. You can do a search that looks for file s that end in .asp by using .asp$ as the search and checking the RegExp box . From there you can select the files and put them all, or deselect the ones not within the folder you're working on.
