Default Need to change paper size from US to A4 European

I want to print documents sized for US 81/2" X 11" on European A4 sized paper. If I print on A4 now only 2/3rds of the sheet is used. Is there any way I can change the formating to print on A4 and not waste paper.

Acrobat has an option in printing to scale the pages to fit the paper.
Don't know that it will save any paper though.

I can get US size paper to print on A4, but there are two pages on each sheet that are to be cut to A5 (if if were US paper is would end up with 2 sheets of 5 1/2 x 8 1/2). The pages are meant only to print on one side. The margin on the left side printing as is gives me 1/4 in boarder on the left and more than 1 1/8 on the outside margins.

Is there a way to convert the PDF to a Word RTF? If I can do that then I can change the margins.

Doesn't Acrobat's "centre pages" option even out the margin?

Aandi, there are two 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (like two A5's) on one page. You can center these pages on the print out, but you can not change the gully (the inside distance) between the pages. It is fixed.

When you print a page there are two pages(like page 1 & 2) on each sheet and then you cut that page in half. I can output the pages 1&2 on to one A4 page, but the margins are way off.
Page 1 – has 1 1/8 on the left side and 5/8 on the right -- not good BUT
Page 2 – 1/4 on the left side and 1 1/2 on the right side -- not really acceptable

I found that if I make "page scaling" = NONE and select "auto rotate and centre" I get 9/16 on the inside of the right page.

This is okay, but not great. I really don't like handing out things to our church folk that will do but aren't the way they are suppose to be.

    Thanks!

    Bob,

There is a program called Quite Imposing that will allow you to print multiple
pages on a sheet and to set the margins of each of the pages. Its an expensive
way to save a few sheets of paper, but if you want to create booklets from pdf
    files, it hits the spot.

    Hi
You ask about converting the pdf to a word doc, this can be done by doing a "Save as" and selecting Microsoft Word Doc. Then in settings, unclick "Retain Page Size and Margins." You'll probably have to do some other reformating.
