Need to see the HTML view in Contribute

    Default Need to see the HTML view in Contribute

    Does anyone know how to get to the HTML view on Contribute?
    My fear is that I can only aqccess it through Dreamweaver but I've only been building my site with Contribute and Fireworks.

    Yes, you can access HTML view only through Dreamweaver.

    You can reach Dreamweaver by setting it as a default editor in Contribute.
    Click on "File-> Actions -> Edit Page Source in External Application".
    Make changes to html ; save ; quit Dreamweaver. You will be taken back to
    Contribute.

    As written earlier use "File-> Actions -> Edit Page Source in External
    Application". You can have the code open up in any text or html editor, not
    just Dreamweaver. You can even use Notepad if you have to.

    "Edit page source in external application" is not active for me, both Online and Offline. It's gray'd out. How do I make it active?

    To make that option available, make sure the role to which you're assigned
    allows it. If you can't update this setting, ask the person who is assigned as
    site Adminstrator.

    Administer Websites>>
    Edit Role Settings>>
    Editing>>
    Allow Users to edit a web page source in an external application
