Hi all,

Can anyone help me with an installation issue.

We are trying to install flash and Shockwave as part of our installation and
have set up our primary installation to launch the msi for both using nested
installation custom actions. We had various problems with the old MSI for
shockwave 10 and flash, whereby it produced 1713 errors. This is to do with
having previous versions of flash and shockwave on the target machine.

The new msi(s) seem to work fine on a standard installation in this fashion.
However there is an oddity. If I perform an admin install of my package, in
preparation for network installation through group policy, something happens
within the msi(s) which causes it 6 to be unable to locate certain
components within the msi causing a 1606 error

Has anyone else eperienced this problem, and if so have you found a way
round it?

Currently I'm having to use a straight exe call to msiexec, however this
doesn't work for network installations because it needs to be run from the
UI sequence and thus we have to rely on the network engineer actually
installing them seperately which is less than ideal.
