Nesting Component within MC
Hi,
I have a movie where I am nested within two MC's ie first MC > second MC > Im
here!
I want to place a list component and xml connector within this MC...however,
when I come to binding the component to the list it cant find the list! For
some reason the navigation structure stops at the second MC.
Is this a standard problem?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Nesting Component within MC
Ok I sorted my original query..but something else has come up! Again in the
Binding tab. When I assign the Component to be bound to the list, the value
appears as <instance name>.menu..................therefore the connection
cannot be made.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Re: Nesting Component within MC
I just had the same problem. Also one nasty side effect: I deleted ALL
instances of the XMl connector and the combo box I was trying to bind it to,
but when i test movie, I get output saying:
Scene 1, Binding between <unknown>.results.eventclasses.class and <unknown>..:
The endpoint of the binding does not exist
It looks like it left garbagein my FLA. Anyone have any ideas how to (1)
solve hinktek's problem and (2) clean out my FLA?

Re: Nesting Component within MC
funkDaddyFlash, Im not sure of the nature of your project and as to why you are
embedding the connector and list, but for my project, I wanted to control the
components within events triggered by a nested MC. Have you managed to sort the
<unknown>.....issue? To get around this I have placed my components in the root
MC and then referred to these components from my nested MC. Works fine
now..............
