network login id in asp

Hi,
I created a dll in vb to retrive the network login id. I used the api
"advapi32.dll" apigetusername() in vb. When i tested in vb it works
good. I registered in the machine which has iis server. When i tried
to call the dll thru server.createobject ,it returns empty string.

I tried using request.servervariables("logon_user") ,it's empty too.
Can anyone help how to identify the network login id in the client
system.

You have to disable anonymous access for the logon_user variable to be
populated.
