network shared folders have the read only attribute by default?
Our machines have XP pro with office 97 and 2000.After
upgrading xp to service pack 1, all our shared folders
have read only attributes. I have tried to uncheck the
read only attributes but changes dont take affect, i have
also used the attrib command and nothing. The reason i am
trying to uncheck read only from our shared folders is
because when ever we try to save a file either excel or
word it gets saved as temporary file.
Thanks1
