network unavailable or permissions
I setup my first user on Contribute today. It's been quite a ride, but I think
I have everything setup finally.
I have ldap enabled, and I know it works because I can Search for a user and
find one.
Rather than sending my first user a connection string, I entered the ftp
information myself.
She can edit pages - Yeah!
BUT she is sometimes getting "Either the network is unavailable or you don't
have permission to publish to this location."
I think it's files in the same directory that aren't working.
I logged in using her ftp information from my desk and didn't have a problem.

Re: network unavailable or permissions
Hi there, Phillip. Did you ever solve the problem re: permission? I've set up
someone who has linked an Acrobat document to a page and you click the text
and you get the famous "Forbidden" page.
I'd appreciate if you help me out.

Re: network unavailable or permissions
I remember going to 8900/contribute/admin/server.cfm and deleting the website
settings while a Macromedia support tech was on the phone with me.
It gave some sort of Ominous warning message.
Then we went into the server itself and deleted an entire subdirectory, trying
to get a contribute xml file out of there so we could start over.
We rebuilt the site and everything's been working ever since.
I think you get a free support call with your purchase.
