    Default networking to the net

I have a computer running windows 98 connected to a cable
modem networked with a computer running xp. I can share
files but it wont let me connect to the internet. Is there
    any way to fix this?

Enable Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on the computer with the
cable modem connection, and configure the other computer as an ICS
    client.

If possible, connect the cable modem to the computer running XP. XP's
version of ICS is much easier to use and more reliable than 98SE's.

If you can only connect the cable modem to Windows 98, it has to be
Windows 98 Second Edition to have the ICS capability.
