    Default New computer--copying connection settings?

I just purchased a new notebook. I have installed Contribute on it, but I
would like not to have to manually enter the information for all my
Connections. Is there a file, or set of files, that I can copy from my old
hard drive, so I don't have to start from scratch?

    Thanks.

Yes there actually is a very easy way.
On your current computer go into contribute and go to edit -> administer
    website

Then when the dialog box pops up, choose 'send connection key'.

Follow the prompts, you will want to send the administrator role settings, and
check the box that asks to send your connection settings and ftp username and
password. Then you can choose to email the key or to save it to your computer.

I saved the key and burned it to a cd, then went to all the PCs at work I was
setting up, browsed to the key, double-click the key and it does it all for you.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the quick and appropriate reply--considering how I framed my
    question.

I forgot to mention that my former computer is dead. The hard disk is ok,
though, so I can access the data on it--but I can't open any programs.

I'm hoping there is some file, or files, that I can copy from my old hard disk
    to my new notebook????

I tried looking around on my PC to see if there was any magic "file" that could
be moved to send the data. I really don't know where/how contribute stores the
connection information on your PC. Sorry I couldn't be of more help,
    Good luck though!
