new hard drive problems
I recently installed a new 20GB hard drive into my Rev. D imac and I
am now having problems getting the stupid thing to boot. I can boot
fine off a cd, and have tried installing both OS8.6 and 9.2, however,
as soon as I try to start-up without the cd, I get a blinking system
folder. When I start up from the CD, it recognizes the hard drive,
and everything I installed on it is still there, I just can't get the
stupid thing to start up.
I have done everything I can think of to get it to work. I partioned
the hard drive so that the partion that the system folder is on is
only 6GB, I've zapped the pram, etc.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for me? I am at a complete
loss. Is there something simple I could have forgotten? Any help is
appreciated.
Thanks,
Dustin

default startup drive?
Out of curiosity—what does the System Folder icon look like? Does it
have the Mac Face or is it generic?
Is there a Finder in the System Folder?
