new problem with Thoth
Lately (maybe since 10.2.8) thoth tells me that posting a
message has failed. The item being posted in the"Queued
Transfer List" turns red and says something about the post
having failed.
But, the post has actually been successfully posted.
Anyone got any ideas?

the post? If so that may be what failed. The only time I have had that
is when the smtp server I set for e-mail was down. Also you have to
make sure the e-mail copy is not being sent to a munged address. Or
alternatively that you have the mail server set up right.

years ago. ISP had switched to a newer form of SMTP and
Claris couldn't handle whatever SMTP authentication method
they used to end the sending session. So maybe 10.2.8 broke
Thoth's authentication for you.

that appears to have been the problem.
i recently munged my email address to slow down the spam
and that's about when this started.
Do you know how to change the default to NOT send email
ayutomatically. I haven't been able to figure it out.

when all else fails, read the manual.
it's just that i'd sort of given up on the manual.
i've tried it several times before when i had a problem
and could never get the answer i was looking for.
this time i found it.
