new shockwave game

Hi all,

Some of you may remember a while back Tom mentioned that Macromedia were
looking for proposals for election related shockwave content to be used
to promote the product. Well, Chuck Neal and I put forward an idea, it
was accepted, it was created, and is now live. So, join in the fun of
Macromedia's "Mock the Vote" and look at our work at:

Hi all,

I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if this works ( or, more
importantly, doesn't work ) on your computer...

Ignore the dodgy graphics and lack of gameplay, it's more of a tech test.

The game uses a lot of external files which, if they exist, help to
customise the look and feel of the game level you have created ( eg
place a logo.jpg to change the logo and colour of the van, you can also
completely replace the van ( although it still drives the same ) etc ).

Hopefully I'll have something very cool for you budding level designers
by the end of next week.

The game uses external files to customise its look and feel... if it
doesn't find the files, then it continues anyway and uses the internal
versions, which is why some of them are coming up as not found... this
shouldn't halt the progress of the game.

It seems to be stopping in the second stage of loading ( when it looks
through your 3D scene, and starts loading the external textures ).

Are you using Safari?
