New to Coldfusion..trying to set up with Dreamweaver
Hi,
IMy name is Tim and I started teaching myself Coldfusion 2 days ago, with no
prior experience with dynamic pages, webservers or anything of the sort.
I have set up Coldfusion without any dramas (stuck with default settings, I
hope that is correct), and now I am trying to configure Dreamweaver to preview
my Coldfusion files properly. Going through the CONFIGURE TESTING SERVER set-up
menu, im fine till I get to SITE DEFINITION: TESTING FILES, where I can't get
it to locate the root folder. II am developing sites locally, so for files in
my Website folder C:\CFusionMX\wwwroot\Timsite I would put
http://localhost/CFusionMX/wwwroot/Timsite, correct? I have tried this, and
several other combinations, I have checked out Dreamweaver help files, but I
can't seem to get it to work.
Helpful advice would be greatly appreciated,
Tim

Re: New to Coldfusion..trying to set up with Dreamweaver
If you used the stand alone webserver that comes with ColdFusion then you need to try port 8500.
So here you go http://localhost:8500/CFusionMX/wwwroot/Timsite/

Re: New to Coldfusion..trying to set up with Dreamweaver
not quite. The site is set up as
http://localhost:8500/Timsite
as localhost:8500 already maps to C:\CFusionMX\wwwroot\
