Like David asked, do you know if there are any triggers on the table?
When does this stored procedure run and how is it called?

    Hello,

It's a new Database, how do I see if there are any triggers? It is called
    from a asp.net page.

Please let me know if you need any more info.

    Thanks,

    Jack

With Query yzer, connect to your server and click Tools --> Object
Browser --> Show/Hide. You can then expand the nodes database, user
tables, triggers. You can similarly use the Server Explorer in the
    VS.NET IDE.

If ther are no triggers on the table, you have a bug in your ASP.NET
    code.

    Hi

I suspect is that the ASP page calls this twice. Try using SQL Profiler to
    ascertain if this is happening.

    Hello,

You store procedure looks fine. My guess is its being
    called twice.
