    Default New user question

    Hi all,

I've never used Contribute before nor attempted anything to do with CMS in the
past so apologies in advance for what's going to be a basic queries.

I've built a CSS layout website using Dreamweaver and have used no template
pages due to the nature of the site.

The client would 'now' like to add a CMS element to the site.

    1. Can I use Contribute to assign areas of existing webpages as being CM
    areas within each page?

    2. If so - is there an online tutorial that would explain the procedures
    involved?

To get an iea of what I'm talking about, please look at

    Thanks in advance!

I'd develop a DW template with one editable content region and then apply that
to all the pages you've built. If all your pages share the same look and
left-hand navigation you can take one of those pages (using a sub-folder at the
same level as the Templates folder) and paste all of the non-editable pieces
into a new DW template page.
