new user question-no pixels selected pop-up
Sorry if this is a double-post. I have a question. After making a selection within a layer,(not the background layer) why do I always get a pop-up that says "no pixels are selected" ? The book and help menu say nothing about this. Any help appreciated!

Re: new user question-no pixels selected pop-up
there are usually 2 reasons for this pop up..either you are working on an empty layer or the feather is set to high...default is '0'.

Re: new user question-no pixels selected pop-up
The answer to that question depends on what you were trying to do at the time. For instance, if you try to "paste" the results of a clone stamp before you have sampled your photograph, you will get this message. In other words, in this example, if you click on your photograph before you hold down the alt key to get your cloning sample, that message will appear. It will also appear in similar situations with other tools.

Re: new user question-no pixels selected pop-up
I'm getting the same problem - From the filter menu, I'm trying to utilize the Sharpen tool & it keeps telling me that "...no pixels are selected" - Feather is set to 0.2 and I'm in Photoshop Elements - I used the lasso tool to make my selection and I've created layers (I think). Any idea??? I basically have a blurry image that I need to sharpen.
