newb question on data model - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

Hi , Recently I saw a data model. It had PK,FK and and I on it. e.g. a table has a PK1, FK!,FK2 and FK3. it also has a field with I1. I could not understand what this I1 means. Thnaks....

    Bindu,

    These are common abbreviations.
    Possibly derived from how SQL server itself names things when you dont.
    The ones I can recall seeing/using are are:

    PK = Primary Key
    UK = Unique Key
    UC = Unique Constraint
    FK = Foreign Key ( ie. reference to another tables PK or UK )
    I or IX = Index
